Yamla Paglaa Deewana – Is Back- Phir Se’

Everyone is obsessed with Bollywood, and so are we. More is always less when it comes to Bollywood, and we would love to see more celebrities share the screen with their families. One such family is the Deols aka The Deol Trio. comprising of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol

Their wonderful onscreen chemistry and exceptional acting skills have created a huge fan base in India. The Deol family has been entertaining their growing fan base for more than five decades now. They have shared the screen in more than one occasion, and each time it was better than the previous one. So, let us have a glance at the some of the movies in which the father and sons shared screen space together:

Apne (2007): Let’s start with the obvious, Apne was the first movie that kick-started the era of The Deol Trio. Director, Anil Sharma, brought the trio together and created magic on the screen. Apne revolves around the life of a failed boxer who wants his sons to fullfil his dream of becoming the best boxer. Dharmendra plays the role of a disgraced ex-boxer, and his sons Angad (Sunny Deol) and Karan (Bobby Deol) try to bring him back to his glory days. The family drama kept audiences engaged, and the audience just could not get enough of The Deol Family.

Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011): YPD was the second movie where Director Samir Karnik managed to bring the Deols together once again after the gap of four years. The movie title was inspired by Dharmendra’s iconic song from his hit movie Pratigya. This comedy flick received an overwhelming response from both the audience and the critics and moved on to become a Box-Office hit.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013): Yamla Pagla Deewana paved way for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and Yamla Pagal Deewana: Phir Se. Yamla Pagla Deewana came two years after the success of Yamla Pagla Deewana. But unlike the first one, the second part stumbled at the box office and received mixed responses from the audiences. However, the trio was appreciated for their performances.

Poster Boys (2017): Unlike the aforementioned movies, Poster Boys does not include all the Deols. Well, Technically it does because Dharmendra Paji has done a small cameo and did share the screen with his sons. Poster Boys is a Hindi remake of the Marathi movie Poshter Boyz, and it is directed and co-produced by Shreyas Talpade. Both the Deols were appreciated for their comic timing which was one of the major selling points of the movie.

Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se: This is the third instalment of Yamla Pagla Deewana. In Yamla Pagla Deewana 3, you will find the Deols back in their familiar comfort zones. Sunny Deol is playing as the temperamental action hero who loves to deliver moral lectures. Bobby Deol is given double duties of both providing comic relief and playing out the loveable fool. Incidentally, he falls for a Gujarati surgeon Chiku (Kriti Kharbanda) with a penchant for alcohol. Dharmendra is the happy go lucky grand old man with colourful attire who dances to old Hindi songs and is still able to charm women even at 82. You will also enjoy Shatrughan Sinha’s presence in this movie. The movie is full of humour with many twists and turns which makes it a perfect family entertainer.

So, what else..just go and watch the movies!!. If you are a die-hard fan of Deol trio, then it is a treat for you! 🙂
