- Chicken 1 kg
- Ginger garlic paste 2 table spoon
- Onions 2 to 3 (finely sliced)
- Yoghurt 1 cup
- Green chilly 2 to 3
- Almonds 3 table spoon (ground)
- Cashew nut 3 table spoon(ground)
- Garam masala 1 tables poon
- Cardamom 2
- Oil to cover 1/3 chicken
- Red chili powder 2 tea spoon
- Saffron strands 5 to 6
- Cloves 2 to 3
- Turmeric Powder 1 tea spoon
- Cinnamon sticks 2
- Black peppercorns 4 to 5
- Lemon juice 3 table spoon
- Salt to taste
- Coriander and mint leaves for garnishing
Heat the oil and fry the onion slices until brown then take out and spread on absorbent paper.
In a pan add ghee n add the ground almond n cashew nut n fry for few sec, keep aside.
Mix and marinate chicken with fried onions, fried almonds n cashew nut; red chilly powder, green chilly, turmeric powder, salt, ginger and garlic paste,garam masala, lemon juice, yoghurt;add the onion fried oil that covers 1/3 of the chicken and saffron for 2 to 3 hours.
Heat oil in a large pan and add green cardamom, cinnamon stick, clove, black pepper corns stir for a while.
Now add marinade chicken into pan and fry on medium flame.
Add 1 cup water now simmer and remove from heat.
Garnish with fried onions, mint and coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or kulcha.
